What Is the Thunder Supervisor?
In the Thunder Emergency Communication System (TECS), the Thunder Supervisor is the system’s central unit of the system and is connected to every Thunder product. Each TECS includes only one Thunder Supervisor.
The Thunder Supervisor continuously monitors the status of all Thunder products in the system. If a device enters an error state, the Supervisor detects the issue and can notify the client. It is also used to configure all Thunder products and to diagnose system issues.
As the system’s central unit, the Thunder Supervisor is the primary access point for retrieving information about Thunder products and the overall system status.
[Add a diagram showing the Thunder Supervisor surrounded by Thunder products and the client’s network. The figure should include symbols indicating that the Supervisor is polling the other devices.]
To provide internet access, each Thunder Supervisor includes an integrated router that can connect either to the client’s network or to a Thunder LTE modem.
The Supervisor is equipped with a touchscreen LCD. This display allows easy access to system information such as system status, error messages, and the configuration interface.

The next section reviews the different types of Thunder Supervisors.
TG1132 and TG1164, supervisor for simple building
The TG1132 and the TG1164 is a supervisor made for simple building configuration. It has a 4.3” LCD touchscreen. When you have a building lower than 6 floors with a single machine room, requiring 1 to 4 elevators, the TG1132 or TG1164 is the perfect choice. These supervisor include an 4.3” touchscreen LCD to access the Thunder Network information. These supervisor also include a backup 4-hour backup battery that power the whole Thunder Network.
TG1132 : for one to two elevators
This supervisor feature two energy port. These ports provide an ethernet connection and power in a single twisted pair. These port are available to connect to the Thunder Cabin Phone.

TP1022, supervisor and lobby panel for complex building
The TP1022 is a supervisor that feature a 10.1” touchscreen LCD and an intergrated phone. This supervisor is also used as a lobby panel. When you have a building with many machine room and more elevator, you need the TP1022. To see how to build a Thunder Emergency Communication System using a TP1022, see the next section (high rise architecture).
