5 Programming

5.1 Overview

The device can be programmed locally using the keypad.

To enter programming mode:

  1. Press PROG

  2. The system will play: “Program”

  3. The unit is now ready to accept commands


5.2 Keypad Functions

5.3 Programming Flow

Step 1 – Enter Programming Mode

Press:

PROG

System response:

"Program"

Step 2 – Select Parameter

Enter the parameter ID, then press:

ENTER

System will play the corresponding prompt.

Example:

1 ENTER → "Primary phone number"

Step 3 – Enter Value

  • Input the value using keypad

  • Press:

ENTER

Result:

  • Valid → “Input accepted”

  • Invalid → “Incorrect entry”


Step 4 – Replay Value

To check a parameter:

<Parameter ID> + REPLAY

Example:

1 REPLAY

System plays:

  • Parameter name

  • Stored value


Step 5 – Exit

  • Press CANCEL at parameter level → Exit menu

  • Press CANCEL during value entry → return to parameter selection

⏱️ Automatic exit:
Programming mode exits after 2 minutes of inactivity


5.4 Parameter List


1 – Primary Phone Number

  • Up to 25 digits

  • Allowed: 0–9, # (pause)

✔ Empty input clears the number


2 – Secondary Phone Number

  • Up to 25 digits

  • Allowed: 0–9, # (pause)

✔ Empty input clears the number



3 – Third Phone Number

  • Up to 25 digits

  • Allowed: 0–9, # (pause)

✔ Empty input clears the number


4 – Location Message

  • Record up to 15 seconds

  • After prompt and the beep:

"Location announcement – wait for beep"

5 – Station Number

  • Range: 1 – 80

  • Default: 1


6 – Access Code

  • Range: 0 – 99999

  • Default: 12345


7 – Operating Status (Playback only)

Possible outputs:

  • Normal

  • Charging Battery

  • Low Battery

  • Dead Battery

  • No Battery

  • No Main Power

  • Phone Line Fault

  • Line in use

  • Emergency call not connected


8 – Firmware Version

  • Playback only


9 – Language

10 – Primary Ring Transfer Count

  • Range: 1 – 20

  • Default: 5 rings


11 – Secondary Ring Transfer Count

  • Range: 1 – 20

  • Default: 5 rings


13 – Talk Time

  • Range: 1 – 99 minutes

  • Default: 5 minutes


14 – Operator Wait Time

  • Range: 10 – 300 seconds

  • Default: 60 seconds


15 – Operator Prompt

5.5 Special Behaviors

CANCEL Behavior

  • During value entry → cancels input

  • During parameter selection → exits programming


REPLAY Behavior

  • Reads parameter name

  • Reads stored value

  • Returns to menu
